Monica Caldas

Monica Caldas is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Liberty Mutual Insurance, the eighth-largest global property and casualty insurer, where she leads the company's global Technology organization, overseeing all aspects of information technology and data engineering. She joined Liberty Mutual in 2018 as Global CIO of Global Retail Markets, spearheading its transformation into a strong and aligned global organization. A recognized industry leader, Monica is a 2026 CIO Hall of Fame inductee and recipient of the 2025 MIT Sloan CIO Leadership Award, with additional recognition from WomenTech Network, BostonCIO, and HITEC. She is a champion of diversity in STEM, sponsoring initiatives for women in technology and actively supporting Hispanic affinity networks. Monica holds a BS from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Pennsylvania State University.
