Quantum Program Manager, BBVA
As Quantum Scientist Manager at BBVA, Senaida Hern'ndez works on the application and benchmarking of quantum and quantum-inspired algorithms for real-world banking challenges, with a particular focus on financial crime detection, portfolio optimization, and derivatives valuation. Since joining BBVA's quantum team in 2022, she has contributed to collaborative research programs and industry consortia across Spain, including the national Project CUCO, Madrid-based QMIND, and BiQAIN in the Basque Country, all aimed at advancing the adoption of quantum technologies in industry. She holds a PhD in Quantum Physics from ICFO and UPC (Barcelona, Spain), as well as a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from ULL (Tenerife, Spain), and brings more than a decade of research experience across academia and industry.
